Telangana govt proposes 1,000 MW power generation by encouraging SHGs to set up solar plants
Telangana aims to generate 1,000 MW of solar power by involving women Self-Help Groups. Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka discussed the plan with officials. Tenders will be finalised soon. Districts are to identify land. Banks should provide financial help. The initiative will boost women's empowerment and promote clean energy. Farmers will also benefit from solar power generation under the PM-KUSUM scheme.
