SAD’s working committee accepts Sukhbir Badal’s resignation as party chief
The working committee of the Shiromani Akali Dal has accepted the resignation of Sukhbir Singh Badal as party chief. This decision follows an edict from the Akal Takht. Badal had resigned in November last year but the committee had initially asked him to reconsider. He was declared guilty of religious misconduct by the Akal Takht.
