HCL awards Rs 2,700 crore mine development contract

Hindustan Copper Limited awarded a Rs 2700 crore tender to South West Mining Limited for re-opening and expanding Rakha Copper Mine in Jharkhand. The project also includes the development of a new underground mine at Chapri and commissioning of a new concentrator plant. The mining operation is set to resume after over 20 years.
