HC junks Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited’s appeal on coal compensation cess

The Rajasthan High Court has ruled against Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) in a dispute concerning compensation cess with Adani Enterprises Limited. The court stated that RVUNL must reimburse the Clean Energy Cess paid by the Adani-owned joint venture for coal mining. This decision stems from a Coal Mining and Development Agreement between RVUNL and AEL.
