CBI books Karti Chidambaram in fresh corruption case
The CBI has filed a new corruption case against Karti Chidambaram for allegedly helping Diageo Scotland lift a ban on duty-free whisky sales. Diageo Scotland and Sequoia Capitals made suspicious payments to Advantage Strategic Consulting, controlled by Karti. The accusations relate to events from 2005 when Diageo faced a ban impacting their sales in India.
