Beer prices in Telangana based on FY19 cost; Rs 3,900 crore dues remain unpaid to alcoBev sector: BAI
United Breweries and the Brewers Association of India (BAI) have raised concerns over the commercial viability of beer prices set by the Telangana government. Unable to cover costs based on production prices from 2018-19, they have suspended supply. The situation has been aggravated by unpaid dues and significant input cost increases.
