Pondy reports first case of HMPV; child fully recovers and discharged

A three-year-old child with Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) was recently discharged after successful treatment in Puducherry. The local health authority is vigilant and has implemented testing and precautionary measures. Dedicated wards with ICU facilities have been established in government hospitals for both adults and pediatric patients. Public health awareness about the disease is being spread.
